Vicki Daley

September 2, 1946 — June 24, 2012

Vicki Lynn (Jarnot) Daley was born on September 2, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minnesota the daughter of Stephen and Dorothy (Larson) Jarnot. She graduated from Brooklyn Center High School. She furthered her education at Hennepin Technical College with a 4.0 GPA. During her life she worked as a Transcriptionist and as a crane operator at FMC. Vicki raised her family in the Northern Twin Cities suburbs. As her children got older they would bring their friends over to the house as they loved hanging out with Vicki. The family also had several good memories of their time spent at their lake cabin on Maple Lake in Alexandria. She was known to her grandchildren as ?pajama grandma?. Vicki had a special place in her heart for animals ? especially finches (her favorite was peep), her crazy dog, Bisquit, dragon flies, butterflies and loons. Chico was her present dog who she loved dearly. She enjoyed random car rides, music, reading, painting, embroidery, genealogy, nature (especially Mt. Hood in Oregon) and volunteered at the Douglas County Historical Society. She was a person who had a strong opinion and said what was on her mind. Vicki believed in the right to bear arms. Vicki died on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at her home. She is survived by her four children: Lisa & Mike of Garfield, Shannon & John of Cambridge, Kerry & Dan of Coon Rapids, Chuck & Lisa of Cambridge; ten grandchildren: Tyler, Vincent, Erik, Matt, Liz, Josh, Taylor, Kaden, Sabrina, Samantha; one great grandchild, Lillian; brother, Stephen & Mary Jarnot; niece, Angela.
