OBITUARY
Wanda Jean Tramm, the daughter of Walter and Pearl (Nichols) Liazuk, was born on August 14, 1942, in Gilman, WI. She attended high school in Stanley, WI and worked as a waitress in her father’s restaurant, Liazuk’s Bar and Café. There she met Fred Tramm and they were united in marriage on August 28, 1965. They lived in Tampa Bay, FL where Fred was stationed for a few years and then made their home in the Chicago, Illinois area later moving to Rural Aldrich, MN. Two children were born to this marriage, Terri and Shawn.
Wanda worked at Ben Franklin and also at McKechnie Tooling and Engineering. She then received her CNA certificate and began working in Motley at assisted living facilities. She also worked privately as a home health aid. Wanda became involved with the Foster Grandparent program in the Staples School district. In this program, she was able to care and love the many kindergarten children she met. In February 2015, Wanda moved to Alexandria where she lived at the Senator Condominiums and started working for Alexandria School District as a foster grandma. She loved her classroom and the children she met through this program.
Thoughtful, giving, crafty, proud, and loving were all words that described Wanda. She was always thinking of others and made people and children she met feel comfortable. She enjoyed all sorts of crafts and hobbies. She volunteered her time at United Methodist Church in Staples and enjoyed taking her grandchildren to Caseys. She attended events for her grandchildren and was especially proud of her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. Wanda’s loving hugs, kind words, holidays, and hanging out at the lake with her family will always be remembered by her children and grandchildren.
