William ?Bill? E. Boutain Jr. age 70 of Alexandria, MN formerly of Clontarf died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his home in Alexandria. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Clontarf. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 15, 2013 from 4-7 PM at the Anderson Funeral Home and for one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Edward Boutain Jr. was born on December 29, 1942 in Benson, Minnesota to William Edward Sr. and Gladys (Swanson) Boutain. He graduated Benson High School in 1961. Bill worked as a Lineman in North Dakota for a few years and was a truck driver out of Montana. Bill was united in marriage to Shari Hiland on November 6, 1965 at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Clontarf. The couple moved to Kensington for a few years, moved to Hancock and settled in Clontarf in 1969. Bill worked for Chamberlain Oil Company for 13 years. Bill and Shari owned and operated the Haymaker Inn/Chatterbox Cafe for 3 � years. He then continued trucking for a company out of Fargo. In 1990, Bill bought Harry?s Pumping Service out of Benson. Bill and Shari moved to Alexandria in 2005 to be closer to their children. Through hard work and dedication, Bill and his son, Joel turned Harry?s Pumping Service into HPS Rental. Bill retired in 2008 with his sons Joel, Jeff, and Bryan taking over the business. Bill enjoyed woodworking, playing cards especially buck euchre and cribbage, auctions, feeding hummingbirds, taking rides with his dog ?Maggie?, fishing, camping, baking bread and cooking. Most of all Bill loved spending time his friends and family and being with his grandchildren. Bill died on Sunday, February 10, 2013 at his home in Alexandria at the age of 70. He is survived by his wife, Shari Boutain of Alexandria; sons, Jeff (Roseanne) Boutain of Alexandria, Bryan (Christie) Boutain of Alexandria and Joel (Kim) Boutain of Hoffman; daughter, Stacy (friend, Clem Schwichtenberg) Boutain of Parkers Prairie; nine grandchildren; brothers, Jon (Barb) Boutain of Starbuck and Jerry (Sandy) Boutain of Rosemount; sisters, Bonnie (Frank) Hughes of Melrose, Mary Ellen Mattice of Lino Lakes, Nancy (Mike) O?Leary of Starbuck, and Katie (Tim) Reardon of Clontarf. Bill is preceded in death by his parents William Sr. and Gladys; and brother-in-law, Milt Mattice. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria
