OBITUARY William James Costello was born on April 2, 1953 in Huron, South Dakota, the son of Jim and Janice (Kogel) Costello. He graduated from Huron High School and attended Huron College. Bill married Marlis Marshall on July 6, 1973. They began their family having two sons: Adam and Justin. He worked as a carpenter and job superintendent for Jacobsen Construction. Bill and his family moved to Alexandria in 1983. He worked for Watkins Construction Company and in September of 1989, until present, he worked for Breitbach Construction Company of Elrosa, MN. Bill?s greatest loves were his family, fishing, camping and enjoying life at the lake. Bill (William James) Costello passed away at his home in Alexandria after a brief but courageous battle with cancer at the age of 59 years old. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years and best friend Marlis Costello of Alexandria; sons Adam (Joanne) Costello of Minneapolis, MN; Justin of Seattle WA; brother Jay (Tracy) Costello of Gillette, WY; brother-in-law Jack (Midge) Marshall of Huron, SD; sisters-in-law Sandy (Roger) Kissner of Huron, SD; Cindy Marshall of Rapid City, SD; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father James Costello; grandparents Harry and Ida Costello; brothers-in-law Ken Marshall and Larry Marshall; parents-in-law Lyle and Theone Marshall. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, at the Anderson Funeral Home of Alexandria with the Reverend Andrea Olson officiating. Interment was in the Riverside Cemetery in Huron, SD. Honorary Urn Bearers were Seth Costello, Sara Costello, Shelby Costello, and Sam Costello. Arrangements are with the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria www.andersonfuneral.net
