William Fredrickson

September 11, 1931 — July 2, 2010

William Charles Fredrickson, was born on September 11, 1931, in Sioux City, Iowa the son of Frances and Simira (Brooks) Fredrickson. He attended school through the 10th grade in Sioux City before joining the Navy. Bill served his country during the Korean War. After serving his country he returned to Sioux City where he met Delores Shadduck. They were united in marriage on April 16, 1953. The couple raised three children. Bill worked as a carpenter, foreman, and superintendent for W.A. Klinger in Sioux City, later transferring to Albuquerque, NM. In 1985, Bill and Delores moved to Minnesota, where he worked for The Tradesmen Construction until retiring in 2000. He was a member of American Legion, VFW and Knights of Columbus. Bill was a very active member of St. Ann?s Parish, always volunteering when needed. Bill had a passion for woodworking, and especially enjoyed making gifts for his family and helping his grandsons with their Pinewood Derby cars. William died on Friday, July 02, 2010 at the Knute Nelson Home. He is survived by his wife, Delores; sons: Steven & wife, Lyn of Robbinsdale, MN, Michel & wife, Debra of Omaha, NE; daughter, Debora Sullivan of Brandon, MN; eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister, Kay & husband, Art Huser of Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Mary Jean Mercural, Helen Ann Erickson. Knights of Columbus Rosary was held on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, 9:30 a.m.
