William (Bill) Vogeler was born on Jan 8, 1954, in Vinton, Iowa, son of Clarence and Betty (Lange) Vogeler. Bill graduated from Mabel High School and attended college at Upper Iowa and graduated from St. Cloud State University. After college, Bill went to work for the City of Kodiak, Alaska from 1977-1981 as the facility supervisor. For the next 12 years, Bill worked for British Petroleum on the north shore of Alaska as a Water & Wastewater technician.
On August 11, 1990, Bill was united in marriage to Julie Polesky. They made their home in Alexandria and Bill returned to work with his own H2O Training and Consulting business and taught classes at the St. Cloud Technical College. For the past 16 years Bill worked as a financial advisor. His business, WRV Wealth Management, who partners with LPL Financial is located in Alexandria. He worked hard for his clients and enjoyed helping them.
Bill was an avid fisherman and loved deer hunting with the family each fall at the family farm. There are a lot of good stories and memories to cherish. Bill enjoyed attending and cheering at all of his sons’ sporting events and rarely missed a game. He was very proud of his boys. Bill enjoyed gardening and worked hard at growing his 42 blueberry plants. He loved his dogs, Smokey (13 years) and Ace, who attended work with him each day and was always by his side. Bill was a man of great faith and he passed that faith on to his family. Bill was active in the church and helped out when the boys were in sports.
