Kimberly Ann Erickson was born on August 18, 1963 in Minneapolis, MN the daughter of Duane and Betty (Tweed) Haugen. Kim attended Shakopee High School and helped her parents at their resort on Lake Pomme De Terre near Elbow Lake, MN. She worked in manufacturing for a number of years in the Twin Cities and also at IRD in Alexandria.
Kim met Michael Erickson in the spring of 1998 in Barrett, MN. They were united in marriage on October 31, 1998 at Peace Lutheran Church. Together they lived near Alexandria and enjoyed riding motorcycle, flowers and especially her cats. Kim was a good cook and always liked trying new recipes. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Kimberly Ann Erickson died on Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN at the age of 52 years old. A private family memorial service will be held at the Anderson Funeral Home. Kimberly is survived by her husband Michael Erickson of Alexandria; mother Betty Haugen of Elbow Lake, MN; siblings Robert (Tammy) Haugen of Prior Lake and Kevin (Sean) Haugen of Shakopee and Cindy Hansen of Rockford and eight nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Duane Haugen.
A Private Family Memorial Service was held at the Anderson Funeral Home in Alexandria.
